Ammonium persulfate is the “workhorse”oxidative breaker for fracturing fluids at low to moderate temperatures.

Breakers
HYBRE-110 is an oil-based slurry used as a breaker for gelled hydrocarbons. It is effective at temperatures ranging from 40°F to 300°F.
GEBRE-111L is a highly concentrated, moderate pH liquid enzyme breaker for fracturing fluids. GEBRE-111L gives clean, reproducible breaks in guar and modified guar gels at pHs in the range of about 4 to 8.
GEBRE-112P is a conventional, m oderate pH enzyme breaker for fracturing fluids. It is packaged with a calibrated scoop in each container for easy measurement in the field. GEBRE-112P gives clean, reproducible breaks in guar and modified guar gels to pHs as high as about 8
GEBRE-114L is a liquid enzyme breaker designed specifically for use in borate- crosslinked fracturing gels at pH’s as high as 10. It gives clean, reproducible breaks at temperatures from 70°F to at least 140°F.
GEBRE-115L is a liquid enzyme breaker designed specifically for use in borate-crosslinked fracturing gels at pH as high as 10. It gives clean, reproducible breaks at temperatures from 100°F to at least 170°F.
GEBRE-116L is a liquid chlorite based breaker designed specifically for use in borate- crosslinked fracturing fluids. It gives clean, reproducible breaks on both the frac fluid and filter cake at temperatures greater than 200°F. Due to the removal of filter cake higher regained permabilities can often be attained than conventional oxidants can give.
GEBRE-LT is an encapsulated persulfate breaker for fracturing fluids. It gives delayed breaks at moderate tem peratures relative to uncoated persulfate. GEBRE LT can be used in low viscosity crosslinked guar fluids at temperatures where uncoated persulfate results in very quick breaks.
GEBRE-HT is an encapsulated persulfate breaker for fracturing fluids. It gives delayed breaks relative to uncoated ammonium persulfate and so can be used at higher temperatures.
GEBRE-HTC is a preslurried form of a high temp oxidizing breaker for guar based fracturing fluids. It is an effective breaker at temperatures from 220°F to 280°F.
GEBRE-117 is an oxidizing breaker that destroys the polyacrylamide polymers used in slickwater fracturing treatm ents. It can be added directly to these frac fluids and does not interfere with their friction reduction, but degrades the polymers within hours. Patent protection has been applied for on this technology.
Sodium Persulfate is an oxidative breaker for fracturing fluids at low to moderate temperatures. It is often preferred to ammonium persulfate as it “clumps” much less in storage.
GEBRE-118 is an encapsulated sodium bromate breaker for fracturing fluids. It gives delayed breaks relative to uncoated bromates and so can be used at higher temperatures.
