ASD-70 is a blend of surfactants specifically formulated to prepare dispersions of aromatic solvents, such as toluene or xylene, in hydrochloric acid solutions. These mixtures are especially effective in stimulating formations with paraffin or asphaltene deposits. The aromatic solvent entrained in ASD-70 fluids can strip such oily residues from formations or scales such as calcium carbonate, iron carbonate, iron oxide, or iron sulfide and allow the hydrochloric acid to more effectively dissolve the deposits. ASD-70 ordinarily will not stabilize emulsions with crude oils and normally requires no additional nonemulsifier.

Solvent Disperssant
ASD-71 contains surfactants and mutual solvents formulated specifically to prepare acid/aromatic solvent dispersions. These mixtures are particularly useful in removing damage due to paraffins or asphaltenes and in restoring water wettability to oil wet rock. The combination of solvent with acid helps de-oil and then dissolve various scales, including m ost iron scales and all common carbonate scales.
ASD-72 is a micellar acidizing additive which provides synergistic solvent properties to oil field acidizing operations. The addition of ASD-72 to oil field acidizing systems enhances the acid’s ability to penetrate heavy hydrocarbon and other sludge deposits. ASD-72 also contains additives, which promote solids suspension, low surface tension, foaming, non- emulsification, and water wetting properties of oil field acids. ASD-72 enables acid jobs to remove hydrocarbon sludges and debris from the formation matrix and well bore. ASD-72 can stimulate production in producing wells and improve injectivity in injection or disposal wells. Because of its unique properties, ASD-72 acid jobs can be successful when other acid treatments have failed.
Emulsifiers
GEM-710 is a blended emulsifier for preparing oil-in- water emulsions for use in fracturing. These fluids are often called “poly- emulsion” or “super-E” fluids. This type of frac fluid gives good sand transport with minimal residue; the prepared emulsion breaks through absorption of the GEM -710 .
GEM-720 emulsifier is a blend designed to allow for the preparation of high internal phase aqueous emulsions using water, brines, or diluted hydrochloric acid (up to 15%) with diesel fuel, kerosene or aromatic solvents. Acid internal emulsions made using GEM-720 emulsifier show a significantly reduced rate of reaction on limestone formations or on other acid soluble materials. Aqueous internal emulsions permit the suspension and transport of solid particles within an emulsion, so application for transport of frac sand or other solid materials used during fracturing is possible.
